CAPTURE and KWR Collaborate for Sustainable Water Solutions

KWR has established a strategic partnership with CAPTURE, an innovative platform based in Belgium that brings together academic researchers, industry leaders and policymakers to accelerate the transition to a circular economy. CAPTURE focuses on sustainable resource management in three key areas: water, plastics and carbon capture and utilization. Through this collaboration, KWR and CAPTURE aim to combine their expertise to develop impactful, science-driven solutions for global water challenges.

CAPTURE serves as a dynamic platform for cross-sector collaboration, connecting stakeholders to scale up innovations that drive sustainability. This approach aligns seamlessly with KWR’s mission to foster knowledge transfer and integrate technology across the water sector.

Critical water-related issues

With more than fifty years of expertise, KWR bridges science to practice by developing practical solutions to major societal challenges. Working closely with governments, industries, agriculture, nature organizations, and the research community, KWR addresses critical water-related issues to build resilient water systems and contribute to a sustainable society.

As part of this partnership, CAPTURE joins Watershare, KWR’s global network of water research organizations and utilities. Watershare facilitates international cooperation to deliver equitable and resilient water solutions worldwide.

Creating an ecosystem for collaboration

KWR is now part of CAPTURE’s growing network of strategic partners, which includes notable institutions such as the Antwerp Maritime Academy, Université de Liège, and the Advanced Research Center Chemical Building Blocks Consortium (ARC CBBC). Together, we are creating an ecosystem where collaboration drives innovation and sustainable solutions for water and beyond.
