Continued attention to corona measures at KWR

KWR works at and with actors from the vital sectors. At KWR we are guided by the need to behave responsibly and a concern for the interactions with colleagues and associates. For this reason, KWR staff members who return from orange or red (holiday) areas report this fact to management and then quarantine themselves at home for ten days.

Vital work activities

KWR is keeping the laboratories, the test facility and the work place operational to ensure the continuity of the vital work activities we perform for the water sector. Those staff members whose work is not location-based, are working as much as possible from home. In line with the current government measures, we are cautious when organising meetings with collaboration partners in our building. Our building complies with all corona rules.

Coronavirus research

Working with different partners, KWR researches the presence of the coronavirus in sewage water for both Dutch and international clients. Moreover, thanks to our expertise and our research, we know that drinking water in the Netherlands is well protected. We stay in close contact on this matter with the Dutch water utilities and Vewin.

Government measures

We ask visitors to our building to comply with the corona measures and the basic rules of the government. If you have symptoms that might indicate a coronavirus infection, such as a cold, dry cough, fever or fatigue, we can unfortunately not welcome you. This also applies to visitors who have returned from an orange or red area without having been in a ten-day home quarantine. The management of KWR is keeping abreast of all developments, and regularly carries out evaluations to ensure that work at and with the institute is conducted responsibly and safely.
