Using treated effluent as pouring water would be a promising solution to take steps towards sustainability and circularity. ‘Over ten years ago, people still had reservations about reusing wastewater,’ Margreet Schoenmakers of Glastuinbouw Nederland says. “But that is a thing of the past. Nowadays, everyone is aware that this is a good option. And you can safeguard water quality just fine.”
