KWR goes to AquaNL 2025

Innovative projects and solutions for the water sector

KWR will be present again this year at AquaNL, the trade fair for water professionals, on 18 – 20 March in Gorinchem. AquaNL is an annual event where experts and organisations from the water sector come together to share knowledge, present innovations and discuss solutions to today’s and tomorrow’s challenges.

The AquaNL organisation has identified three central themes this year. The focus is on water quality and availability on Tuesday, water treatment and circularity on Wednesday, and water processes and systems on Thursday. KWR is working with these themes in the form of a varied programme in which our researchers will share relevant insights and innovations.

We will be giving presentations about:

  • Managing legionella risks in wastewater treatment plants. We will look at past outbreaks, and at how to describe and mitigate the risks better.
  • The collective research programme Water in the Circular Economy (WiCE), which brings water companies, KWR and other partners together to work on the efficient reuse of water, energy and raw materials.
  • The potential of a locally closed water cycle, in which local collection and treatment systems can contribute to solutions for water quality and quantity challenges if carefully applied.
  • The KNAP-project, which focuses on closing the cycles of macronutrients (nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium) from communal and industrial wastewater with the aim of recovering nutrients and applying them sustainably in a circular agriculture-food-sanitation system.

We are pleased to be participating at this important event once again. Visit us at AquaNL to learn more about our innovative projects and solutions for the water sector.
