Astrid Reus

Astrid Reus began working as a project manager and researcher in the Chemical Water Quality and Health team this year (2019). She has extensive experience in the safety assessment of substances and products for the chemical, pharmaceutical and food industries. Besides this routine testing within the regulatory and legal frameworks, Astrid also has a lot of experience in the set-up, validation and implementation of innovative in vitro assays (bioassays). At KWR, she works with in vitro bioassays (from set-up to routine application), and assesses the possible health hazards of substances in the water cycle on commissions from water utilities, government and industry.
