Carola Koopmans

Carola Blokker has worked as a Microbiology Analyst at the Laboratory for Microbiology since 2000. Her tasks include testing the microbiological state of various types of water to ascertain the presence of (pathogen) microbiological parameters. To do so, she uses perspectives including classic microbiology, molecular techniques, toxicological tests (cell culture laboratory) and growth tests. She processes and reports on the samples in LIMS. In addition, Carola is in charge of bacteria suspension sales. In line with her daily tasks at the laboratory, she also focuses on the development of and preparation for microbiological proficiency testing. For additional creativity, Carola works as a secretary on the board of the staff association.
