Marcelle van der Waals PhD

Marcelle van der Waals is a scientific researcher on Microbiological Water Quality and Health. Marcelle did her PhD research on microbiology in the field of biological degradation of contaminants at the University of Wageningen and Deltares. Within KWR, she continues to work on similar water quality and microbiology issues.
Marcelle also works on water quality questions raised by the horticultural sector. Within this research, knowledge and techniques will be used that are gained with years of experience working on drinking water safety at KWR.
Marcelle works with partners within and outside KWR to find answers to research questions and problems. Project management is part of her work, along with the execution of the research activities.
