Martijn van Veggel

Martijn van Veggel is a researcher and project manager in the Water Treatment & Resource Recovery (WTR) team. Combining his background in Analytical Chemistry and Geochemistry (Earth Surface & Water, Utrecht University) for the optimization of drinking water treatment plants, he researches and develops innovative treatment techniques. The removal and destruction of PFAS and other contaminants, the use of activated carbon, the prevention of iron breakthrough in sand filters and the valorization of residual streams are some of the topics he covers. Besides being a researcher, Martijn is a project manager and supervises studies for industry, research institutes and drinking water companies.
