Nina Flowers is a researcher on the ecohydrology team. She investigates the impacts of human activity on dune grasslands. Her research experience has focused on the conflicts between farmers and nature. She studied both ecosystem science and policy and marine affairs. She received her master’s in biology specializing in biodiversity, conservation, and restoration from the University of Antwerp. She received her PhD from the University of Veterinary Medicine Vienna studying the feeding ecology of lemurs and impacts of livestock on tropical dry forests and wildlife. Her research and fieldwork experience has been across Europe and Africa.
