Rajashree Hajare PhD

Dr. Rajashree Hajare is a microbiologist with a PhD in Environmental Engineering, specializing in water management. Her research is focused on enhancing water quality, assessing health risks related to waterborne pathogens, and developing sustainable approaches for wastewater reuse. Dr. Hajare has made significant contributions to water safety, particularly in the context of transitioning from intermittent to continuous water supply systems in India, as well as in the formulation of Water Safety Plans for both urban and peri-urban regions. Her work has been published in leading scientific journals, including Water Research, Water Science and Technology, and Environmental Modeling & Assessment. Currently, Dr. Hajare is a Scientific Researcher with the Microbial Water and Health team at KWR Water Research Institute, where she is dedicated to advancing global water safety and management through comprehensive research and the application of evidence-based solutions
