René van Doorn

René van Doorn works as an HLO analyst on the LMC team. He prepares and develops organic proficiency tests and is partially in charge of execution. In addition, he runs organic analyses using programmes including HPLC-DAD, GC-MS(/MS) (Purge & Trap). In collaboration with the toxicologists, he does various types of reprocessing in preparation for toxicity tests. René has specialised knowledge for purifying XAD resin. In quality assurance, he set up a calibration system for the WKG department. René is also active for the department in terms of conservancy and maintenance of equipment. As Opiate Officer (VMO), he is partially responsible for the maintenance of the opiates at KWR. As treasurer, René is active in the management of the staff association and he is an Emergency Response Officer.
