Ruben van den Berg

Ruben van den Berg works at KWR as a researcher in the Energy and Circular Systems team. Ruben studied Civil Engineering and Water Management (at Delft University of Technology), specialising in Water Resources and Sanitary Engineering. For his Master’s thesis at KWR, he developed a method to simulate and assess circular water and energy systems in the urban environment. At KWR, Ruben is continuing to work on research and innovations to make water and energy use more sustainable. He also investigates questions relating to the assessment of the environmental impact of technologies and concepts using life cycle analysis. On the basis of his practical and theoretical experience in the water sector, Ruben works on sustainable system solutions that can be implemented in existing and future infrastructure.
