Starting Facility employee (40 hours per week)

For our facilities services team we are looking for a new colleague.

The function

As a facilities employee, you start each morning with your colleagues. Besides a social talk, you discuss the daily and weekly schedule. But no day follows the plan, because in facilities services you are always prepared for unplanned things. You might be busy getting rooms ready for a symposium, when a malfunction occurs in one of the technical systems. But whatever the day brings, it will be good if, at the end of the day, you have managed to support the organization and keep the systems running.

We are looking for

You are a starting facility employee, with a hands-on attitude and living in the region. Together with your colleagues you will take on many facility matters, both planned and unplanned. Some of this work you will do together, but there are also tasks that you perform alone. You will also participate in on-call shifts. But the most important thing is that you are loyal, flexible and honest.

Your (main) duties:

  • Trouble shooting (printers, tags, lighting, furniture, etc.);
  • Point of contact expedition (task is performed together with another colleague);
  • Preparing and checking meeting rooms;
  • Connecting, maintaining and advising audiovisual equipment;
  • Managing the fire alarm system (weekly and monthly checks);
  • Maintaining direct contact with our technician, the facility coordinator, colleagues and guests.

Your profile

  • MBO-2/3 working and thinking level, preferably in the direction of facility management;
  • You are eager to learn, have a hands-on mentality and take on challenges with both hands;
  • You have a good command of the Dutch language (spoken and written) and you can communicate sufficiently in English;
  • You are handy and physically fit because you also have to lift things when preparing rooms;
  • You are willing to participate in the 24/7 shifts (every 4 weeks by phone);
  • Affinity with technology is an advantage;
  • Preferably you have a B-driving license.

In addition to this, you are willing to take the necessary additional education/courses/training courses if required such as:

  • Fire Alarm System Administrator (1-day training course);
  • VCA certificate (1-day training).

If you do not meet the complete profile but are enthusiastic about this position, then we also look forward to receiving your motivation and resume.

Our offer to you

We consider it important to work on a long-term working relationship, personal growth and career development. We offer various opportunities for this, such as a good induction period in the organization and various courses and trainings. A good work-life balance is paramount for us. If you have a breakdown service (available 24/7 for certain weeks), you will also receive an extra payment for this. KWR has excellent primary and secondary terms of employment. The position is classified in salary scale F: € 2,698 – € 3,489. Among other things, you will receive a Flexible Working Conditions Budget of 22.11%. KWR is a member of the collective labor agreement for water companies (WWb).

In addition, you can perform your hands-on work in a sustainably built building. The building is designed for collaboration between colleagues, teams and business contacts. With this position and our profile, KWR offers an exceptional working environment.

The team

The facility services team is a broad-based team. Together with your five colleagues, you take care of all kinds of facility services. Examples include management of the fire alarm system, preparing rooms for presentations and technical management of the buildings and grounds. These services are mostly internal, but because many external parties also perform jobs, you also coordinate a lot with external service providers.
